Description

A walk along the one-mile Wrights Bluff Nature Trail affords visitors the chance to observe songbirds, wood ducks, and small mammals. The east side of this trail, alongside Cantey Bay, is a great place to see wading birds, Canada geese, and other waterfowl species.

Wrights Bluff Nature Trail is located at the office/visitor center of the Santee National Wildlife Refuge.  The trail and grounds are open daily, sunrise to sunset. 

The trail/refuge office/visitor center are located just off of U.S. Highway 301/15, seven miles south of Summerton, S.C.  Visitors may take Exit 102 on Interstate 95 and follow the signs. The visitor center is open 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Tuesday - Friday.
